It’s not surprising his podcast (with Katie Floyd) is called Mac Power Users. David lives down the street from me (well, up the freeway but that’s pretty much the same thing in S. Cal.). What’s it like being a politician?
If your film needed a tall, good looking boy who was a Boy Scout, did well in school, played football and was elected class president, you’d have described the childhood of Chuck DeVore. He learned hard work and self-reliance from his parents. And he learned how to overcome fear and pain from football.
Chuck earned a college degree in strategic studies, served as an Army officer, and was a staffer for a US congressman. And although he worked in aerospace for many years, Chuck is probably best known for the years he served in the California State Assembly. What’s it like founding a company?
Wil Harris says that online advertising is quite different than you’d think. Advertisers think locally and are quite slow to adopt new methods. Wil should know. He is the founder of UK-based ChannelFlip, which presents professionally-produced short-form videos (less than 5 minutes) that people want to see. Apparently even after you prove the concept, it’s not easy to get convince advertisers to become sponsors. Fortunately, Wil learned arguing and persuading in law school. But now days, he spends more time doing financial modeling than beating the bushes.

I tracked Terry Hart to Cody, WY. It’s apparently where ex-police officers hang out. They go there to get away from crime, drink coffee and shoot at fence posts. But back when he was a cop in LA, things were quite different. Terry explains the best part of job, the value of martial arts, and why you should be prepared before you go to a police academy. He also shares how he got through taking someone’s life.
